Chains for Christ

Today I read through the beginning of Philippians.  Paul writes to the people of Philippi from prison:

"And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God."

"I am in chains for Christ.  And because of my chains, most brothers and sister have become confident in the Lord and date all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear."

It's just so amazing that he continued to rejoice and spread the Good News even in the worst of situations, his faith shined even brighter and brighter as he shared his faith and his relationship with Jesus Christ.

In a world filled with so much that tries to pull my eyes off of Christ, I pray that I remember all that He and His followers have done to show me the way home.  I pray for His strength and courage, that I might be able to discern what is best during my walk with Him today.

Thank you Lord for another day and all that this day will bring.  Help me to shine bright as I boldly walk with You today.  Thank you for reminding me that even in the most difficult times or situations, that my focus needs to be on Jesus.  I know that Your will for me is far greater than any of my dreams.  Thank you, Jesus!  Amen
